In accordance with the bilateral cooperation agreement between the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Center (BHKAEC), as well as the 2025 NSFC Project Guidelines, the NSFC will sponsor mainland Chinese scholars to attend academic conferences in Hong Kong. This program funds participation in three to four conferences annually across various disciplines. The initiative aims to foster connections among researchers interested in the conference topics, promote international (or regional) collaborations, establish bilateral interdisciplinary partnerships, and lay the groundwork for future research collaborations with Hong Kong scholars.

This conference focuses on the cutting-edge integration of robotics and large-scale artificial intelligence models (such as generative AI and embodied intelligence). It will cover key technologies and applications including intelligent control, multimodal perception, human-robot collaboration, autonomous systems, and AI-powered robotic platforms. Special attention will be given to issues of safety, interpretability, and ethics in deploying large AI models within robotic systems, with the goal of ensuring trustworthy, safe, and responsible technological development in a rapidly evolving landscape.

The conference will bring together leading experts and scholars from around the world to establish a high-level platform for academic exchange, showcase the latest research advancements, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration. Ultimately, it aims to lay a solid foundation for advancing robotics and artificial intelligence and for building sustainable and trustworthy intelligent systems.
